Here I provide an introduction to my life-choice memoir assignment and the relevant blog posts that I used as part of my writing process.
When I was first introduced to this assignment I started to freak out a little bit. Being only 18 years old I haven't experienced that many difficult decisions in my life. It seemed like I was writing about the same thing in all of my blog posts. Nothing fresh was coming to my mind, I could only talk and think about that one difficult decision I made. Which I talked about in my third blog post, Life-Choice: The Powers That Be? and my fourth blog post, Life-Choice: To Tell The Truth.
Then during this semester an important part of my life came to my attention when my sister mentioned it, which you can read in my fifth blog post, Life-Choice: Should I Stay or Should I Go? I think the reason I didn't think this was actually a life-choice was because it's always been a part of me. It wasn't just something that happened and then ended. It's been a choice my entire life. And if I'm being honest I never even thought I had a choice in this situation until I was introduced to this assignment. You can also visit my seventh blog post, Life-Choice: Memoir Process Reflection, for more insight on my writing process.
